Every year on 24 January, International Day of Education is celebrated across the world, which is organized to explain the importance of education.
On this day, various programs are organized worldwide to promote the importance of education and to explain the important roles of education in human development.
Every year, International Day of Education is celebrated on a particular theme.
The theme for 2024 is 'Learning for Lasting Peace' thereby securing the role of education.
Last year's theme was "Invest in People and Prioritize Education", which emphasized the need to invest in individuals and prioritize education.
On 3rd December 2018, the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) approved a resolution, declaring January 24 as the International Day of Education.
