The global cricket community is mourning the untimely death of international cricket umpire Bismillah Jan Shinwari, who passed away at the age of 41. A respected figure in the game, Shinwari was a member of the ICC International Panel of Umpires and officiated in 25 One Day Internationals and 21 T20 Internationals. He began his international umpiring career in December 2017 with an ODI match between Afghanistan and Ireland held in Sharjah.
