The International Conference on Mainstreaming Climate Change into International Fisheries Good Governance and Strengthening Fisheries Management Measures in the Indo-Pacific region has recently begun in Mahabalipuram, Tamil Nadu.
The conference was inaugurated by Union Minister of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Purushottam Rupala.
In this, there will be a brainstorming session on India's preparedness to adapt to the conditions arising from climate change in marine fisheries.
Various sessions will be organized during this period in which research and educational institutions, community organizations and entrepreneurs will showcase their innovations and activities.
Representatives of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) are also participating in the conference.
