  • In December 2003, the United Nations took the first steps in combating international corruption. On October 31, 2003, the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC) was drafted.
  • The United Nations Association Convention (UNAC) is a treaty that all UN member states have signed.
  • The purpose of this treaty is to legally bind members of states to work together to reduce corruption and enforce law and order.
