International Animation Day is celebrated every year on 28 October.
The purpose of celebrating this day is to honor the artists and engineers who make animation.
The celebration of this day was announced by the International Animated Film Association in the year 2002.
This day was celebrated for the first time in the year 2003
Its 21st edition is being celebrated in the year 2023.
The International Animated Film Association (ASIFA) was founded in the year 1960 in Paris.
