Marking a significant step toward self-reliance in naval defense manufacturing, the Indian Navy has received Himgiri (Yard 3022), the third frigate under the Project 17A series, built by Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers (GRSE) in Kolkata. Delivered on July 31, 2025, Himgiri is a modern multi-mission stealth warship equipped to handle future maritime security challenges.
