  • The Indian Space Station, named Bharatiya Antariksha Station, is planned to be constructed and operated by ISRO (Indian Space Research Organisation).
  • The station will consist of five units, with the first two units slated to be launched using the existing Launch Vehicle Mark 3. The remaining three units, larger in size, will require new-generation launch vehicles. ISRO aims to have the entire space station operational by 2028.
