Indian Railways has successfully conducted the trial run of ‘Rudrastra,’ Asia’s longest freight train, spanning 4.5 km in length. The trial covered 209 km from Ganjkhwaja station in Chandauli, Uttar Pradesh, to Garhwa in Jharkhand in 5 hours and 10 minutes, achieving an average speed of 40.50 km/h. According to DRM Uday Singh Meena, freight trains from the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Division will now be dispatched to the Dhanbad Division to enable faster goods loading and transportation.
