  • Parag Agrawal, an Indian-origin technology expert, has been named the new CEO of Twitter.
  • Agrawal joined Twitter when the company had fewer than 1,000 employees ten years ago.
  • He was named Twitter's first Distinguished Software Engineer in recognition of his contributions to revenue and consumer engineering, as well as his role in re-accelerating audience growth in 2016 and 2017.
  • He succeeded Adam Messinger as CTO in March 2018.
