Parag Agrawal, an Indian-origin technology expert, has been named the new CEO of Twitter.
Agrawal joined Twitter when the company had fewer than 1,000 employees ten years ago.
He was named Twitter's first Distinguished Software Engineer in recognition of his contributions to revenue and consumer engineering, as well as his role in re-accelerating audience growth in 2016 and 2017.
He succeeded Adam Messinger as CTO in March 2018.
