  • 7th Indian Navy Frigate of the P1135.6 class was launched at Yantar Shipyard in Kaliningrad, Russia.
  • The ship was formally named Tushil (sanskrit word) by Datla Vidya Varma which means "Protector Shield."
  • An Inter-Governmental Agreement (IGA) was signed between the Governments of the Republic of India and the Russian Federation for the construction of the two projects in Russia.
