In a major boost for achieving indigenisation in the armed forces, Indian Navy Vice Chief Admiral SN Ghormade on August 26 received its first-ever fully 30mm ammunition for AK-630 guns from a Private Sector Firm Economic Explosives Limited in New Delhi.
It is the first time that the services have placed an order on the Indian private industry for the delivery of complete gun ammunition.
