The Indian Navy has commissioned its newest naval base, INS Aravali, in Gurugram, Haryana. Named after the Aravali mountains, the base strengthens India’s Maritime Domain Awareness and communication infrastructure, supporting command and operational coordination. The commissioning ceremony was led by Admiral Dinesh K. Tripathi, Chief of the Naval Staff, and included a Guard of Honour, the reading of the commissioning warrant by Captain Sachin Kumar Singh, and the hoisting of the Naval Ensign. INS Aravali’s motto, ‘सामुद्रिकसुरक्षायाः सहयोगं’, reflects maritime security through collaboration, aligning with India’s MAHASAGAR vision.
