Indian environmentalist Madhav Gadgil has been awarded the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award 2024 by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), joining a distinguished group of laureates such as David Attenborough and Joan Carling.
In total six people have been the recipients of the Champions of the Earth 2024 Award.
