Goa Shipyard Ltd. has launched ‘Samudra Prachet’, the second and final vessel in the indigenous Pollution Control Vessel (PCV) series for the Indian Coast Guard on July 23, 2025. Built with 72% indigenous content, the vessel is equipped with advanced oil spill response systems and aims to strengthen India’s maritime environmental protection efforts within its Exclusive Economic Zone. The project has significantly contributed to local industry and MSME involvement.
