Recently the Classical Masters Chess Championship was organized in Qatar.
In this championship, Indian Chess Grandmaster Karthikeyan Murali won the title by defeating world champion Magnus Carlsen.
Karthikeyan Murali has become the third Indian player to defeat Magnus Carlsen.
Earlier, Harikrishna and Vishwanathan Anand have also defeated Carlsen.
Karthikeyan's victory came in the seventh round of the tournament, where he skillfully used the black pieces.
Karthikeyan Murali is an Indian Grand Master.
He was declared a Grand Master by FIDE in the year 2015.
