  • The Indian Army has launched 'Operation Sadbhavna' for the development of Ladakh.
  • The activities are aimed at helping children living in remote areas of Ladakh.
  • As a part of ‘Operation Sadbhavna’, the Indian Army is undertaking several welfare activities such as running Army Sadbhavna School, infrastructure development projects and Shiksha Yatra etc. for children living in remote areas of the Union Territory (UT) of Ladakh.
  • The Indian Army is currently running seven Army Goodwill Schools (AGS) under ‘Operation Sadbhavna’ in Ladakh region. 
  • More than 2,200 students are currently studying in these schools.
