  • The Indian Army has launched a modern messaging app called 'ASIGMA' (Army Secure Indigenous Messaging Application).
  • It is a cutting-edge, web-based application developed entirely in-house by a team of officers from the Army's Corps of Signals.
  • It has a number of modern features, such as multi-level security, message prioritisation and tracking, a dynamic global address book, and a variety of options to meet the Army's needs.
  • 'ASIGMA' is expected to amplify the Army's efforts and increase the number of other applications running on the Indian Army's captive pan network.
