A contingent of 334 personnel of the Indian Army today left for Nepal to participate in the 18th edition of battalion level joint military exercise Surya Kiran.
The exercise will be conducted from 31 December 2024 to 13 January 2025 at Saljhandi, Nepal. It is an annual training event that is conducted alternately in both the countries.
The Surya Kiran exercise aims to enhance interoperability in jungle warfare, counter-terrorism operations in mountains and humanitarian assistance and disaster relief under the UN Charter.
