  • Recently the Asian Para Games were held in Hangzhou, China.
  • India won a total of 111 medals in this game.
  • These 111 medals include 29 gold, 31 silver and 51 bronze medals.
  • With these 111 medals, India stood at 5th position in the medal table.
  • India had won 78 medals in the 2018 Para Asian Games.
  • Indian archer Sheetal Devi became the first Indian woman to win two gold medals in the sport.
  • China topped the medal table by winning a total of 521 medals including 214 gold, 167 silver and 140 bronze.
  • Iran stood second with 131 medals and Japan stood third with 150 medals.
  • In terms of total number of medals, Iran may have won less medals than Japan but its gold medals were more than Japan's, hence it remained above Japan.
  • South Korea finished fourth with 103 medals.
  • India won the most medals in athletics events.
  • The Para Asian Markets of the year 2026 will be held in Nagoya, Japan.
