The Indian Navy (IN) and Republic of Korea Navy (RoKN) began their inaugural bilateral exercise IN–RoKN at Busan Naval Base. INS Sahyadri, a Shivalik-class stealth frigate, represented India, highlighting its indigenous shipbuilding and Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative. The exercise has two phases: harbour phase for professional exchanges and sea phase for joint maneuvers with ROKS Gyeongnam, enhancing operational coordination and maritime awareness. This exercise strengthens India-South Korea defense ties and underscores shared commitment to regional security in the Indo-Pacific.
