India's longest river cruise service will be launched early next year between Varanasi and Bogibeel.
Two floating jetties are being constructed at Dibrugarh’s Bogibeel and Guijan in Tinsukia district.
The cruise service will be traversing a distance of more than 4000 kms across Ganga, Indo Bangladesh Protocol Route (IBPR), and Brahmaputra.
The cruise would be the latest in a string of connectivity and development projects in the northeast.
National Waterways on the Ganges, the Brahmaputra and Barak rivers are also being developed to reduce travel costs to Bangladesh.
