  • The central government has issued a notification approving the proposal to merge the Noradehi sanctuary with the Rani Durgavati sanctuary in Damoh district.
  • With this, a huge tiger sanctuary spread over 2,300 square kilometers will be created.
  • This reserve will be centered around the Jabera area of Damoh district and is expected to boost tourism and development in the area.
  • Damoh district of Bundelkhand is included in the backward areas but due to this Tiger Reserve, the possibilities of development will increase.
