  • India is all set to inaugurate its inaugural Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) from Uttarakhand, a landmark moment in the nation's healthcare and aviation industries.
  • The announcement was made by Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia.
  • Under this service, a helicopter will be stationed at AIIMS, Rishikesh, and will be deployed within a radius of 150 km to airlift accident victims to medical facilities.
