Tamil Nadu Health Minister M. Subramanian officially inaugurated the country's first-ever 3D eye surgery facility at a government hospital in Chennai.
The country's first three-dimensional eye surgery facility has been developed at Egmore Eye Hospital, Chennai's oldest government hospital, which was built in the state before Independence two centuries ago.
The Tamilnadu government has set a goal of performing 65,000 cataract surgeries by 2021.
