Recently Girish Chandra Murmu has been appointed as the Deputy Chief of the Auditor Panel of the United Nations.
This panel includes the 12 supreme auditor institutions of the world.
It includes representatives from Canada, Chile, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Philippines, Russia, Switzerland and Britain.
The independent body, including its representatives, conducts financial, performance and compliance audits of UN entities.
This recognition underlines India's commitment to the highest standards of external audit and its active participation in shaping the global audit landscape.
Girish Chandra Murmu's tenure as deputy chief will begin in the year 2024.
