  • To strengthen India’s defense capabilities, Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Russia's state-owned arms export company, Rosoboronexport (ROE). This MoU facilitates collaboration on various versions of the advanced Pantsir air defense missile-gun system.
  • The MoU was signed at the 5th India-Russia Inter-Governmental Commission (IRIGC) Subgroup Meeting held in Goa.
  • The Pantsir system, integrates missiles and 30 mm guns, can target aircraft up to 15 km altitude and is designed to protect military and industrial facilities.
