India was re-elected to the United Nations Peacebuilding Commission (PBC) on November 28, 2024, for the 2025-2026 term, reflecting its active role in global peace and stability.
India's role in the PBC: India has been a member of the PBC since its establishment in December 2005.
The PBC is an intergovernmental advisory body that provides support for peace efforts in conflict-affected countries.
