  • India is ranked 39th out of 119 countries in the Travel and Tourism Development Index 2024 report published by the World Economic Forum.
  • In 2022, India recorded 14.3 million international tourist arrivals, representing 1.47% of the global market share, with a 15.66% share in the Asia and Pacific region, and improvements were noted in travel and tourism prioritization, safety and security, and health and hygiene.
