India is ranked 39th out of 119 countries in the Travel and Tourism Development Index 2024 report published by the World Economic Forum.
In 2022, India recorded 14.3 million international tourist arrivals, representing 1.47% of the global market share, with a 15.66% share in the Asia and Pacific region, and improvements were noted in travel and tourism prioritization, safety and security, and health and hygiene.
