  • India launched its first reusable hybrid rocket RHUMI-1 from Thiruvidandhai in Chennai at 7 am on August 24.
  • The rocket has been developed by Tamil Nadu-based start-up Space Zone India and Martin Group. The rocket carrying 3 Cube satellites and 50 PICO satellites in a suborbital trajectory was launched using a mobile launcher.
  • It is also the India's first reusable hybrid rocket, developed by Chennai-based Space Zone India in collaboration with the Martin Group.
