India inaugurated its first government hospital-based Artificial Intelligence (AI) clinic at the Government Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS), Greater Noida, marking a milestone in tech-driven public healthcare. The clinic, under the GIMS Centre for Medical Innovation, provides a real-world platform for AI healthcare startups to develop and test solutions in medical imaging, clinical decision support, and data-driven services. Developed in collaboration with IIT Kanpur, IIT Madras, and IIIT Lucknow, it aims to improve patient outcomes, efficiency, and safety while fostering innovation.
