India became a member of the G20 Troika, which currently includes Indonesia, Italy, and now India.
The G20 is the leading worldwide platform for international economic cooperation and its summit is held on a rotating basis by each of the members.
The term "troika" refers to the G20's highest grouping, which includes the current, prior, and upcoming presidents — Indonesia, Italy, and India.
The G-20 summit was recently held in Italy, and it will be held in Indonesia next year.
On December 1, 2022, India will take over the G20 presidency from Indonesia, and in 2023, it will host the first-ever G20 leaders' meeting.
