  • The fourth edition of the India-Japan joint training exercise Dharma Guardian conducted at Camp Imazu in the Shiga province of Japan from February 17 to March 2.
  • This will be the 4th edition of the Exercise ‘Dharma Guardian’ between India and Japan.  
  • Exercise Dharma Guardian will strengthen bilateral ties and the level of defence cooperation between the Indian Army and the Japanese Ground Self-Defense Force.
  • The scope of this exercise covers platoon level joint training on operations in jungle and semi urban/urban terrain.
  • Exercise Dharma Guardian is an annual training event that has been conducted in India since 2018. The 3rd edition of Exercise ‘Dharma Guardian’ was held at Foreign Training Node, Belgaum from February 27, 2022 to March 10, 2022.
