India is the 2nd largest producer of aluminium in the world, with primary aluminum production increasing by 1.2% in Q1 of FY 2024-25 compared to the same period last year, reaching 10.43 lakh tons.
India is the 3rd largest producer of lime and the 4th largest producer of iron ore globally.
The growth in mineral production, including a notable 11% increase in manganese ore, indicates continued strong economic activity in sectors such as energy, infrastructure, and construction.
