  • India has been invited as the theme country for the 'Madrid International Book Fair' to be held in 2025.
  • Spain has been invited as the theme country for the 46th International Kolkata Book Fair, which began on Monday.
  • Ambassador of Spain to india Jose Maria Ridao said It is usually for publishers only. But, we can expand the horizon, to include cinema and music as well.
  • The envoy also said editions of the prestigious Jaipur Literary Festival will be held in Madrid and another Spanish town later this year.
  • Jaipur Literary Festival has had its editions in the UK and the US, but this will be the first time it will be celebrated in a non-English speaking country.
