India has introduced a new e-Production Investment Business Visa (e-B-4 Visa) to facilitate business travel for Chinese nationals undertaking specific commercial activities in the country, including the installation and commissioning of equipment.
According to a recent advisory published on the Indian Embassy’s website, the e-B-4 Visa, launched on January 1, can be applied for entirely online without the need to visit the embassy or engage intermediaries.
The visa has been introduced in response to the rising demand for business travel to India and is expected to be processed within 45–50 days, permitting a stay of up to six months in the country.
