  • India has introduced a new e-Production Investment Business Visa (e-B-4 Visa) to facilitate business travel for Chinese nationals undertaking specific commercial activities in the country, including the installation and commissioning of equipment.
  • According to a recent advisory published on the Indian Embassy’s website, the e-B-4 Visa, launched on January 1, can be applied for entirely online without the need to visit the embassy or engage intermediaries.
  • The visa has been introduced in response to the rising demand for business travel to India and is expected to be processed within 45–50 days, permitting a stay of up to six months in the country.
