  • Indian Naval Ship (INS) Khanjar, an indigenously built offshore patrol vessel, is carrying out a coordinated patrol (CORPAT) with Indonesian Naval Ship KRI-Sultan Taha Saifuddin (376), a Kapitan Patimura-class corvette.
  • The 37th edition of CORPAT between India and Indonesia began on November 23 and will end on November 24.
  • Since 2002, India and Indonesia have conducted CORPAT patrols twice a year along the International Maritime Boundary Line (IMBL), with the goal of keeping this crucial area of the Indian Ocean Region safe and secure for commercial ships, international trade, and legitimate maritime operations.
  • The 37th IND-INDO CORPAT aims to strengthen maritime cooperation between the two navies and create strong friendship links across the Indo-Pacific.
