  • The Department of Youth Affairs organised the first BRICS Youth Coordination Meeting on 25 March 2026 in virtual format as India assumed the BRICS Chairship for 2026. The meeting, attended by representatives from all BRICS countries, formally launched youth engagements under the theme “Building for Resilience, Innovation, Cooperation and Sustainability”.
  • India presented an overview of the BRICS Youth Track 2026, including Working Group Meetings, Youth Development Forum, Youth Summit, and Ministerial Meeting. Discussions focused on priority pillars such as education and skills, youth entrepreneurship, science and innovation, social inclusion, health and sports, environment, sustainability, interfaith dialogue, and youth exchange. The meeting helped align member countries on thematic areas and laid the foundation for strengthened youth cooperation during India’s chairship.
