Prime Minister Narendra Modi will meet French President Emmanuel Macron to launch the India–France Year of Innovation and expand cooperation in AI, defence, and emerging technologies. The visit highlights growing strategic alignment between India and France amid global geopolitical shifts.
A key focus is joint leadership in ethical, human-centric artificial intelligence and digital partnerships. Defence ties are set to strengthen following India’s approval to procure additional Rafale fighter aircraft built by Dassault Aviation. Both nations will also review Indo-Pacific cooperation and multilateral reforms. The visit reinforces a strategic partnership that has been active since 1998.
