India has strengthened its trade ties with Latin America by successfully concluding the 9th Round of India–Peru Trade Agreement and the 3rd Round of India–Chile CEPA negotiations. The India–Peru talks, held in Lima, made progress in key areas such as trade in goods and services, customs and critical minerals. Both nations agreed to meet next in New Delhi in January 2026. Similarly, the India–Chile CEPA discussions in Santiago focused on enhancing market access, investment and supply chain resilience. These negotiations reaffirm India’s commitment to deeper economic cooperation and stronger partnerships across the Latin American region.
India and Israel signed a defence cooperation pact to boost co-development, technology sharing, and counterterrorism efforts.
