India and Brazil have signed a tripartite MoU on cooperation in the maintenance of Scorpene-class submarines, involving the Indian Navy, Brazilian Navy, and Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited. The agreement was concluded during CNS Admiral Dinesh K. Tripathi’s visit to Brazil (9–12 December 2025). It focuses on life-cycle support, logistics, training, experience sharing, and defence R&D, marking a major step in naval and defence industrial cooperation and strengthening maritime ties between the two Global South partners.
