India ranked second globally in consumer confidence in January 2026, according to the LSEG–Ipsos Primary Consumer Sentiment Index. With a score of 60.7, India trailed only Indonesia and was among the two markets to cross the 60-point mark. Rising optimism about economic prospects and employment drove the improvement, despite some caution over personal finances and investments.
