  • Igla-S is an anti-aircraft and drone missile.
  • It is carried by soldiers by carrying it on their shoulders.
  • Recently an MoU has been signed between India and Russia for this missile.
  • Permission has also been granted to produce Igla in India under license.
  • This missile is manufactured by Russia's Rosso Boronexport Company.
  • A soldier can attack this missile from his shoulder only.
  • With this attack, helicopters and fighter aircraft can be easily destroyed.
  • Due to its infrared homing guidance system, it can easily target the enemy.
