  • India's Joga Purty won the silver medal in the final of the women's Under 18 speed climbing event at the IFSC Youth Asian Climbing Championships. 
  • He broke the national record with a time of 8.89 seconds against 9.10 seconds in Jamshedpur on 18 November 2024. 
  • Joga Purti lost to Indonesia's Aninda Kalbi Arsilah in the final, giving her the silver medal. 
  • At the same time, South Korea's Jimin Hwang won the bronze medal. Athletes from 13 Asian countries were face-to-face in the speed climbing events.
