ICC Updates Powerplay Rules for Shortened T20 Games Starting July 2025:

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has revised its Playing Conditions for shortened T20 matches, clearly specifying new powerplay overs based on innings duration. For instance, an 8-over game will now have 2.2 overs of powerplay, while a 5-over match will include 1.3 overs. The updated rules, effective from July 2025, aim to standardize fielding restrictions during truncated matches.
