The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced equal prize money for men's and women's World Cups, starting with the Women's T20 World Cup in the UAE, where the winners will receive USD 2.34 million.
This decision, made at the ICC Annual Conference in July 2023, marks cricket as the only major team sport to achieve prize money equity, reaching the target seven years ahead of the 2030 schedule.
