  • Manoj Kumar Singh, a 1988-batch IAS officer of the Uttar Pradesh cadre, has been appointed as the new chief secretary of Uttar Pradesh, succeeding Durga Shankar Mishra, a 1984-batch IAS officer.
  • Prior to this appointment, Singh held various significant positions including the agriculture production commissioner, infrastructure and industrial development commissioner, and additional chief secretary of the Panchayati Raj department in Uttar Pradesh.
