  • Bhupinder Singh Bhalla has been appointed as the new chairman of the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC)
  • Currently posted as the additional chief secretary of Delhi, Bhupinder will succeed Dharmendra, a 1989-batch officer, as the civic body chairman.
  • Meanwhile, Bhalla is a 1990-batch IAS officer.
  • Previously, he has been posted in Delhi’s revenue department and the finance departments of Goa, Daman and Diu, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, and Chandigarh.
