IAF conducted 'Bambi Bucket' Operation to douse Nainital forest fire

The Indian Air Force recently utilized its Mi-17 V5 helicopter equipped with a Bambi Bucket to combat forest fires near Nainital, showcasing the versatility and effectiveness of aerial firefighting operations in challenging terrains.
The Bambi Bucket, introduced in 1983 and invented by Canadian Don Arney, revolutionized aerial firefighting by enabling helicopters to transport large volumes of water beneath the aircraft, offering a swift and efficient means of extinguishing wildfires from the air.
