  • Indian Railways has deployed its first-ever humanoid robot, ASC ARJUN, at Visakhapatnam Railway Station, Andhra Pradesh. The robot assists RPF personnel during peak hours with AI-based crowd monitoring, face recognition, and real-time surveillance linked to control rooms.
  • ASC ARJUN can make automated announcements in English, Hindi, and Telugu and interact with passengers using friendly gestures like “Namaste.” It features semi-autonomous navigation, obstacle avoidance, 24×7 patrolling, and fire and smoke detection for emergency response.
