Union Home Minister Amit Shah inaugurated the 59th All India Conference of Directors General/Inspectors General of Police in Bhubaneswar, Odisha on November 29, 2024. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the conference on November 30 and December 1, 2024.
Important issues related to internal security will be discussed at this conference, including left-wing extremism, coastal security, new criminal laws, counter-terrorism strategies, cybercrime, and challenges posed by emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and drones.
Prime Minister Modi will honor police officers with the President's Police Medal on the final day of the conference.
